Their professional debut was in December 1996, being the youngest Argentine dance couple to become professionals. They have worked together with several teachers, including Ernesto Franco, Carlos Lazzari, Osvaldo Berlinghieri, Virginia Luque, Beba Pugliese, Omar Valente, Roberto Pansera, and Argentino Ledesma.

They performed in the best Tango houses and milonga shows in Buenos Aires, such as Señor Tango, Café de los Angelitos, Café Tortoni, Faena, La Ventana, El Viejo Almacén, Gallerias Pacífico, Sabor of Tango, Cambalache, Bidou de las Luces, Tango 1921, The Museum of Cultural Tango, The Tango Gallery Argentino, “Almagro”, El Viejo Correo, The House of Provinces and Taconeando

In 2000 they created the show “Alma de Tango”, which toured in Argentina and South America.

They performed in “Tanguera: El Musical Argentino” in Brazil, Peru and Chile. 

They did national and international tours with the Orchestra Sexteto Mayor, traveling to more than ten cities in Mexico. 

They performed in the most importants vendes of Australia, Bermuda, Canada, China, Germany, Italy, Korea, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Scotland, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States, Brazil, Chile, Peru

They have made presentations on numerous TV programs, both in Argentina(SUSANA GIMÉNEZ, MARCELO TINELLI, etc) and abroad in Europe, Asia(WELCOME WORD, Bangkok)( SABA TÜMER’IN, Turkia) and North America, CANADA(CTV MONTREAL)

Since 2003 they have given workshops and master classes of Tango Stage, Tango Salon, Professional Tango Dancers in Madrid, Lima, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Singapore, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, London, Liverpool, Cambridge, Richmond, Cleveland, New York, New Orleans, and Johannesburg.. 

They have also given courses of Tango History in “House of Tango” in La Plata City in Argentina. 

They have also received various medals and award during their careers, such as Double Gold Medals in Olympics Platenses, Champions on the TV programme “Susana Gimenez Telefe”, Champions in the Chascomus Festival of Tradition and Dance of Chascomus, and Double Gold Medals at the Bragado Festival of Buenos Aires.

Mariela and Pablo were among the jury members at the 2012 World Tango Championship which is held annually in Buenos Aires.

The distinguished dancers and choreographers Mariela Maldonado and Pablo Sosa, honoured with the title of “Outstanding Personalities of Culture” by the government of the Capital Providence Buenos Aires in 2012 have shone since their debut in 1996. 

The duo have performed in some of the best tango shows, undertaken extensive world tours and received rave reviews from international media, like The New York Times and the UK’s Ballet Magazine.

Mariela Maldonado was selected and awarded by the National Chamber of Senators with a medal in 2015 as an “Outstanding Woman” for her contribution to Culture both in Tango Legends in representation of Argentina abroad and as Director of the Ballet of the city of La Plata.

Since 2013 they are Directors of Dance Department in “Casa del Tango” where they are preparing professional dancers continuosly.

 They were choreography directors of Ballet Dancer Bonaerense whom they made a tour in Alexandria and Cairo (Egypt) in 2014.

In April 2015 Artisitc  Directors  in the show where was the presentation of the first CD of  “Orquesta Municipal De  La Plata”  in the theatre municipal “Coliseo Podesta”.

 They are co-directors of the Tango festival “La Plata Baila Tango” where they give masterclasses and workshops and danced with the most important Orchestras like “Los Reyes del Tango” and “Orquesta Municipal de la ciudad de La plata” in 2014, 2015/2016/2017/2018/2019/2022/2023/2024.

They are creators and directors of the La Plata Baila Tango National Championship in 2022, until now.

They are creators and directors of the La Plata Baila Tango National Championship, Co-directors of the for La Soberania Tango Festival( 2024 ), and Creators of the Express Tango for La Soberania Championship, 2024.

In the year 2024, they expanded their scenic creation, transforming the tango scene, and created “Izabella El Musical Argentino”, telling through dance, stage theater and music, the original Argentine legend of popular tango.
